Hey there, I’m Karen. I live in Seattle. Right now I’m working on some pretty exciting stuff for the next version of Excel. I can’t talk much about it now but I can’t wait to show you when it comes out. Outside of my day job I like to take on side projects. This is the latest one. I really like creating something out of nothing, whether it’s a song, a logo, or the design of an app.

I like to write and perform music. I play in a band, Electric Villain. At the moment though, my instrument of choice is cello. I’m pretty new to it, which makes it fun to practice since I’m still at that stage where I can see improvement almost every time I practice. Much to the annoyance of anyone trying to use my computer, I use Dvorak.

I’ve got a short attention span and haven’t been blessed with the gift of patience. I can’t even watch movies, they’re too long.

I believe in trying a little bit of everything, living life with no regrets and always going after what you want.
